Editorial Policy and Corrections
Statement Engine publishes practical forecast guides to help users find the right workflow and review their assumptions. This page explains how those guides are written, corrected, and limited.
What guide pages are for
Guide pages are meant to make search intent concrete: what to include in a forecast, where cash differs from profit, and which Statement Engine page or workflow is relevant. They are not accounting, tax, audit, legal, investment, or financing advice.
How content is reviewed
- Each page must describe a specific forecast use case, not a generic finance topic.
- Each page must link to related methodology, validation, pricing, or guide pages when relevant.
- Pages that mention Excel output must keep the boundary clear: web review is free, formula-linked Excel output is paid or reward-unlocked when configured.
- Pages that mention bank, lender, tax, or board use must remind users to review assumptions before external sharing.
How corrections are handled
If a guide, template, account mapping, or calculation behavior appears wrong, users can report it through the issue reporting path. Material public changes are recorded in the public changelog, while release checks are summarized in the validation log.
