About Statement Engine
What the product does, who it is for, and where its responsibility ends.
What problem does it solve?
Statement Engine reduces the setup work required to turn operating assumptions into a linked three-statement forecast. Instead of starting from a blank spreadsheet, users define opening balances and business events such as revenue, collection timing, payroll, capex, borrowing, and repayment.
Who is it for?
CFO and finance teams
Build and review business plans, cash forecasts, and DCF operating assumptions.

What it is not
Statement Engine is not accounting, tax, investment, financing, legal, audit, or valuation advice. Forecasts should be reviewed before board, lender, investor, tax, or other external use.

Who maintains the product and its documentation?
Statement Engine is maintained as a software project in the bebetterengine-tech public repository. Product and help pages are written to document behavior that can be checked in the published application, including inputs, journal rules, linked statements, validation checks, and Excel output.
Documentation is reviewed when product behavior changes. Corrections and reproducible issues can be submitted through the Support page. Concise reference pages remain supporting material until they are expanded with worked examples and verification steps.
